Rep Ron DeSantis is moving ahead with hearings with the FBI informant who has until now been gagged by the crooks in the DOJ. The truth is coming out and it will not set them free…
Rep Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is leading the investigation into the latest and perhaps most destructive Clinton-Obama-Democrats scandal yet, and one that may actually result in legal consequences, the Uranium One racketeering scandal.
He joined Martha MacCallum for a discussion of the upcoming appearance of the highly anticipated former FBI informant, now that AG Jeff Sessions has been shamed into removing the mob-style threats that had forced him into silence.
DeSantis describes the patriot who has been pleading for a chance to tell his story to Congress as “just somebody who was working as a lobbyist and “was approached to be a part of some of these Russian lobbying campaigns and he realized immediately this was not on the up and up.”
DeSantis continues, saying, “And to his credit, he went immediately to the FBI and became a confidential informant for them in 2009 and did that for a number of years. And so, he wanted to tell his story, he feels his story needs to be told.”
“But he was concerned,” says DeSantis, “about the gag order because last year he wanted to litigate some claims against the FBI and the Justice Department told him, ‘You’re under this gag order. If you expose things that are covered by that then there will be reprisals against you.”
Now that that obstacle has been eliminated, DeSantis says, “He going through what I understand to be a lot of documents that he accumulated over those many years and he’s going to be willing to produce those documents to Congress, and then obviously he’s going to talk to Congress.”
DeSantis says, “Most likely it’ll be, initially, behind the scenes in a closed-door setting just so we can go through all of this, maybe do some other investigating. But I do anticipate at some point, if his information bears out, that you could see him in front of the cable lights at a Congressional hearing down the road.”
MacCallum asks if Rep DeSantis believes the informant has information on the Clinton Foundation, which he says he believes is possible. He says, “I definitely believe that, from the very beginning of this, that he will say that the Russian sources that he was dealing with, they were very much interested in influencing the Clintons.”
MacCallum asks, “In what way, what did they want to do?” DeSantis goes on to briefly lay out the case of Russia buying influence through bribes paid to the Clintons. She addresses weak and largely irrelevant claims that the issue has already been litigated and this is old news, with this story being much bigger than those small slices that were, in an apparent defensive measure, litigated on lesser charges than presented themselves.
She asks Rep DeSantis if he favors a special prosecutor and he does, particularly since the current Deputy AG is the guy who ran that very favorable trial, Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller was the FBI Director when all of this was going on.
What’s becoming increasingly obvious is this informant’s need for physical protection. Having the Russians out to get him is bad enough, but now it looks like the Clintons will have a price on his head as well.
