Ann Coulter is very disappointed, as are millions of Trump supporters, that he signed the Omnibus Bill without border wall funds included but by using the Seabees to build it he…
Judge Jeanine Pirro welcomed Ann Coulter to her program on Saturday, asking “How are you Ann?” She replied as many Americans probably would, “Deeply depressed, and you?” Judge Jeanine answered, “I’m certainly concerned” and then invited Coulter to tell her audience what it is that’s bothering her. Coulter campaigned vigorously for President Trump and has supported him primarily for his stance and promises on building a border wall. That’s not going to happen anytime soon and perhaps never, thanks to the treasonous Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell presenting him with a heaping pile of open borders garbage rather than a continuing resolution, a military spending package and the remaining omnibus bill or, better yet, a budget.
She says she can’t sugar-coat what a disaster President Trump’s signing of the omnibus bill is. Looking for a silver lining to the open border cloud of dust from invading parasites, she says, “I mean there are 24 Republicans in the Senate who voted against the omnibus spending bill and about half of them did it for the right reason.”
Coulter proceeds to make herself less popular with the portion of Trump loyalists who no matter the situation still support the man rather than the policies. She names Senators Tom Cotton, David Perdue, Ron Johnson and a few others as having stood their ground and voted against the Omnibus bill, saying “so maybe we can run them for President.”
She points out, “But there was only one guy who said at every speech, at every rally for two years that he would build the wall. And he has now signed a bill to prohibit the building of a wall. Judge Jeanine jumps in with some fair criticism of McConnell and Ryan, to which Coulter replies, “We knew they were swine. We thought he was, perhaps not the world’s greatest negotiator but a negotiator.”
Coulter says, “And we got nothing, nothing, nothing. Chuck Schumer’s flack is tweeting out “we’re getting tired of winning.” Coulter points out that there is no more crucial attack on our national defense than the fact that we don’t have a wall. More people are dying every year from heroin and Fentanyl overdoses, each year, than died in the entire course of the Vietnam War. And that is 100% because we do not have a wall at our border.”
Coulter alludes to something we covered as a topic yesterday with the Corps of Engineers, saying, “There are things Trump can do, somebody’s got to brush up on the Constitution, it’s his job to protect our borders.” She says, “It’s his authority under the Constitution, it’s cannot be taken away from him by any legislature, by any court, I am quite confident the Supreme Court would uphold this, to defend our borders.”
She notes that despite no declarations of war since World War II the US has engaged in endless wars around the globe and she believes that same principle would apply to defending our homeland. “Have the Seabees do it.”
She says the money could come from the same place that Reagan took the money to invade Granada, the same place he took the money to bomb Syria. He has money to spend on national defense and this is a much bigger problem of national defense. This is our people being attacked with chemical warfare, not allegedly, Syrians.”
She summarizes with a list of shortcomings and concessions on the border that President Trump made to the globalist Democrats, saying, “All of this can be done under his powers as Commander-in-Chief if he cared and if he wanted to do it. Unfortunately I think the fact that he signed this Omnibus Bill is the last straw and he never wanted to do it.”
Coulter feels betrayed and she has a lot of company. Disappointment and a realization of futility and the creeping stark reality are a bitter substitute for lost hope.
