The events are happening quickly as the scandalous spying by Hussein Obama on the Trump campaign and nascent presidency become more apparent, undeniable and consequential to those involved.
Martha MacCallum reports that three Trump insiders who have been smeared by the Democrats have now come forward in an attempt to clear their names and in support of the President. Paul Manafort, Roger Stone and Carter Page have all offered to testify before the House Intelligence Committee looking into matters of the phantom pretend Russia-Trump collusion and the very real Obama spying on Trump and other American civilians.
Catherine Herridge reports that there was a surprise mid-afternoon visit to the White House by FBI Director Comey that lasted for just over an hour. Herridge states that the official reason given for his visit was that Comey came in for a routine interagency meeting. She sounds skeptical, quoting a source that is a 25 year FBI veteran who said, ‘Only the highest profile issues would call for the Director to personally travel to the White House.”
Herridge says it’s not yet known if the three who volunteered to testify before the Intelligence Committee will be questioned publicly or behind closed doors. She notes that Chairman Nunes is recalling both FBI Director Comey and NSA Director Mike Rogers return for a classified meeting next week, eight days after their public testimony on Monday of this week.
Former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan and former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates will now be rescheduled with their time being allotted to the follow up with Comey and Rogers. Rep “Shifty” Adam Schiff speculated as to why there had been a scheduling change, saying, “There must have been a very strong push-back from the White House about the nature of Monday’s hearing. It’s hard for me to come to any other conclusion about why an agreed upon hearing would be suddenly canceled. Clearly it had to do with the events of this week.” What’s clear is it’s hard for Schiff to come to any other conclusion for a much simpler reason, because the one he gave best fits their agenda.
Herridge notes that Democrats who are calling for Nunes to step down from his leadership position on the Intelligence Committee are powerless to do anything other than stomp their feet, as Schiff was doing. MacCallum invites Rep Eric Swalwell, a Democrat member of the intelligence committee into the conversation, who denies he’s called for Nunes to step down. He opts to instead portray it as merely hoping he’d select to get on the “on ramp” to normal behavior, accusing Nunes of being a White House surrogate.
Smarty pants Swalwell states that the President already has access to the information. That’s not of much value, as he well knows, if the President doesn’t know it exists, where or what it is. He’s got access to everything if he is aware of it but that doesn’t mean he has unlimited time for a scavenger hunt. Swalwell claims that it doesn’t make sense to him, and therefore it can’t be true, that someone would go to the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee rather than straight to the White House. Maybe Swalwell can walk in and get some face time with President Trump whenever he wants, probably not. Odds are he’s never met him. He goes on to say because he hasn’t seen the evidence that Nunes is being given that it doesn’t exist as he simultaneously accusing Nunes of running his own intelligence service. What an idiotic, partisan hack this clown is.
Former Congressman and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Pete Hoekstra says he thinks that Chairman Nunes is doing exactly the right thing, comparing the corruption of intelligence leadership within CENTCOM to the distrust that whistleblowers have for their superiors today and a perceived need to go outside of normal channels. He urges Rep Nunes “to encourage more people in the intelligence community to be whistleblowers, because the intelligence community has some real problems and issues going on right now.”
