Comey “Threw A Stick Of Dynamite” At DOJ, AG Sessions – WH Reveals Final Big Mistake

Sarah Huckabee Sanders provides some insight into the developments behind the scenes that led to the firing of FBI Director Comey. She reveals that President Trump had lost confidence in Comey “and frankly, he’d been considering letting Director Comey go since the day he was elected.”

She further reveals that the Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, along with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, came to the President on Monday and expressed their concerns, which President Trump asked to be put, along with their recommendations, into the form of a letter. Those are the letters that have been subsequently released to the press.

She tips the event that sealed his fate, when Comey got too big for his britches, saying, “I think one of the big catalysts that we saw was last week, on Wednesday, Director Comey made a pretty startling revelation, that he had essentially taken a stick of dynamite and thrown it into the Department of Justice by going around the chain of command.” She described his having “decided to take steps, without talking to the Attorney General or the Deputy Attorney General, when holding a press conference, and telling them he would not let them know what he was going to say. And that is simply not allowed.”

She added, “I think it’s been an erosion of confidence. I think that Director Comey has shown over the last several months and frankly the last year, a lot of missteps and mistakes and certainly, I think that, as you’ve seen from many of the comments from Democrat members, including Senator Schumer, they didn’t think he should be there, they thought he should be gone.”

Sanders says, ‘Frankly, I think it’s startling that Democrats aren’t celebrating this since they’ve been calling for it for so long.”

She needs to remember they’re first and foremost political operatives, they are capitalizing on the events for political gain. The truth, what is right or what is good for the nation means nothing to them. What’s best for the Party is everything and feigning outrage over the firing of somebody whose head they have also been demanding has been determined to best suit their agenda at this particular moment.
