The only ones upset about President Trump’s humor aimed at Sen Warren, calling her Pocahontas were the leftists. Even the Navajo Code Talkers who were being honored
It turns out that genuine American Indians, those who actually have ancestries that connect them by blood to various tribes, such as the Navajo code talkers, don’t have a problem with President Trump referring to Elizabeth Warren as Pocahontas.
It was only Pocahontas herself and her fellow manipulative Democrat comrades became theatrically incensed. They jumped on the President’s comments, pretending to see something wrong that they didn’t, solely in the interest of political advantage.
It’s much like the phantom of a Democrat leader’s patriotism or love of country, which has been claimed and proclaimed in theory but never actually witnessed in action.
There was the secondary objective of perhaps discouraging the future use of what is an unflattering nickname by President Trump. It’s not unflattering for the connection to native Americans but for the fact that it references the lie told by Warren to fraudulently gain a teaching position at Harvard that paid $350K per year.
One of the Navajo Code Talkers that was a guest of president Trump at an honorary ceremony on Monday gave his thoughts about the supposed controversy. President Trump included the humorous dig at Warren in his comments honoring the Code Talkers, saying, “We have a representative in Congress who they say was here a long time ago. They call her Pocahontas.”
Oddly it was a CNN political analyst, Joshua Green who may have been hoping for a different response, who broke the bad news for Warren and her whiny hyperventilating ilk. He met with Thomas Begay, who was one of the Navajo Veterans honored by Trump who stated he was puzzled by the comment but not offended by it.
Inserting his own bit of humor into the mix, Begay said, “The Marines made us yell ‘Geronimo’ when we jumped out of planes, and that didn’t offend me either.”
Warren accused President Trump of using a racial slur against her, an interesting claim in light of the fact that she isn’t an Indian. Is Warren saying that being called the Indian she claimed to be for a financial windfall is an insult to her when there’s no cash involved?
Warren lashed out , “There he was, at a ceremony to honor Native Americans, men who have really put it all on the line to save American lives, to save lives of people, our allies, during World War II, really amazing people. President Trump couldn’t even make it through a ceremony to honor these men without throwing in a racial slur.”
The real Indians didn’t find it offensive, although they would likely have changed their tune if President Trump had, even jokingly, referred to any of them as Elizabeth Warren. They’re men of integrity and that would be taking things a bit too far.
