james clapper tapper

Former DNI James Clapper, who has a history that includes lying in testimony to the Senate, went on the Jake Tapper program to similarly declare that he didn’t say what he said by contorting the record into a nonsensical bunch of blather that only he and Tapper could understand. Naturally, they took it to mean that Clapper never said there was no evidence of improper contacts between President Trump and Russian officials. Just a week ago Clapper testified that that was still accurate. Today he’s engaging in some typical Democrat misdirection and rewriting of the record.

Clapper did so in a manner that was so convoluted, contradictory and lacking in substance and cohesive thought that no sense could be made out of what he said. There was only the predetermined agreement that now the record is straight, Clapper suddenly never said what he has maintained for close to six months, and President Trump is somehow wrong to have quoted him and taken Clapper at his word.

Tapper made a quick and unchallenged declaration that “So the President’s obviously trying to use them.” No, Jake, but what is obvious is that collusion that is under way is being highlighted by your little stage presentation with the former DNI, using your CNN Fake News program as a platform from which to mount your attack.

Clapper claims he was completely out of the loop as far as any collusion investigation or information goes, although he was one of two intelligence officials named in the original, supposed 14 agency assessment, along with then-CIA Director Brennan.

During the period of time that the official Democrat establishment narrative on the Russia hoax was being rolled out, the Washington Post reported, “FBI Director James B. Comey and Director of National Intelligence James R. Clapper Jr. are in agreement with a CIA assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election in part to help Donald Trump win the White House.”

They quoted Brennan as saying, “Earlier this week, I met separately with FBI [Director] James Comey and DNI Jim Clapper, and there is strong consensus among us on the scope, nature, and intent of Russian interference in our presidential election.” At the time the intelligence agencies attempted to get their stories straight through a statement the Washington Post reported that, ”Officials close to the FBI and the CIA now say that lawmakers had misunderstood Comey’s position. ‘The truth is they were never all that different in the first place,’ an official said. Similarly, officials said, Clapper and Brennan saw the intelligence the same way.” That certainly doesn’t sound like a guy who was being kept out of the loop. It sounds like someone right in the thick of things, doing what he always does, making informed assessments.

Tapper then plays a video of Clapper denying any evidence of collusion on behalf of the CIA and FBI as well as himself from March 5th, a statement which he then goes on to claim was made as an innocent sap who didn’t know the FBI had an investigation ongoing. How stupid do you think the [non-Democrat] American people are, Clapper? Maybe now, after he’s been all over the map on this, Clapper’s finally found a lie that he feels safe in, one he believes he can’t get caught in, one he’ll stick with, for now. It’s really only got to hold up until they finagle a special prosecutor into place, then he’ll have completed this particular mission.

Tapper paints a picture of President Trump having acted inappropriately in firing Comey, and asks if we’ve crossed a line somewhere. Clapper plays along, saying, “Well, I will just say the developments of the past week [are] very bothersome, very disturbing to me.” The Obama hack says, “I think in many ways our institutions are under assault externally, and that’s the big news here, the ‘Russian interference’ in our election system. And I think as well our institutions are under assault internally.” If Clapper’s talking about from himself, Obama and the deep state then he’s for once being truthful; of course he’s not.

Tapper asks, “Internally from the President?” Clapper nods and says, “exactly.” Tapper asks, “Because he’s firing the checks and balances.” Clapper goes on to quote the founding fathers and their genius.

His foul, treacherous lips should never utter their names.
