Globalists who hijacked the State of California and are using it as a gateway for illegals to take over the country, and for distribution of illegal drugs are suing Trump. The census…
The United States Constitution requires that a census be conducted every ten years. In Article one section two, when dealing with the requirements for selecting members to the House of Representatives, it states the method for apportioning those representatives, which involve the counts derived from a headcount by location.
It states, “[Representatives and direct taxes shall be apportioned among the several states which may be included within this Union, according to their respective numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole number of free persons, including those bound to service for a term of years and excluding Indians not taxed, three-fifths of all other persons.”
As is sometimes the case, the founders could have made things simpler if they’d gone into a little more detail, but the requirements are still easily discerned. One could make the argument, based upon the language of counting free persons, that illegal aliens should not be counted in any regard. They are not free, but merely escaped, successfully eluding capture at the time of the count.
Even native American Indians were not counted as citizens if they weren’t taxed. Foreign invaders working off the books or otherwise illegally may or may not be taxed, but if they were not violating the law in working in such a manner, they would not be taxed and as stated for those who were legally here before us, not eligible for the census.
Slaves brought to this country against their will were only counted as three-fifths of a person. Those who are trespassing should in no way be considered the equivalent of an American former slave. The leadership of the open borders globalist hellhole, California, sees things differently. They’re challenging in court a decision by the Trump administration to ask whether someone is a citizen or not on the 2020 census.
The illegals would still be counted, but their immigration status would be known. The globalist Democrats of California are attempting to eliminate the distinction of US citizens, relegating all humans to the level of “comrade space occupant,” so they are opposed the Trump administration’s action. The basis for their suit is a claim that the administration is violating the Constitution.
Fox News reports that Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross “has determined that reinstatement of a citizenship question on the 2020 decennial census questionnaire is necessary to provide complete and accurate census block level data.”
In a written statement, Ross said, “The decennial census is mandated in the Constitution and its data are relied on for a myriad of important government decisions, including apportionment of Congressional seats among states, enforcement of voting rights laws, and allocation of federal funds.” States like California, which seek out illegals, would lose representation and funding if the truth becomes known. Many wary illegals might choose not to respond to the Census at all.
Illegal alien agitator and California Attorney General, Xavier Becerra warned, “We are prepared to do what we must to protect California from a deficient census. Including a citizenship question on the 2020 census is not just a bad idea — it is illegal.”
He doesn’t offer a foundation upon which that determination that it is illegal is based, and, given his states’ record, if something is illegal we would expect them to immediately embrace it. “Fast and Furious” Eric Holder, a hired legal gun for the state, popped off, issuing a pocket-lining, self-serving threat to the administration.
He warned, “We will litigate to stop the Administration from moving forward with this irresponsible decision. The addition of a citizenship question to the census questionnaire is a direct attack on our representative democracy.”
So, according to libtard commie logic, knowing the composition of people within your borders is okay until you get to that question about whether or not they are supposed to be here, then it becomes “irresponsible” and an attack on “representative democracy.”
The political agitator added, “Make no mistake — this decision is motivated purely by politics. In deciding to add this question without even testing its effects, the Administration is departing from decades of census policy and ignoring the warnings of census experts.”
Countering his blather with facts, the Department of Commerce points out that between 1820 and 1950, nearly every decennial census asked a question about citizenship. The question has also been on the long form for years now.
California’s invalid arguments are based upon a position that because illegals will be reluctant to complete the census when they are being asked if they are Americans, it will erode the “actual Enumeration” mandate of the Constitution.
Secretary Ross disagrees, writing, “The citizenship data provided will be more accurate with the question than without it, which is of greater importance than any adverse effect that may result from people violating their legal duty to respond.”
Once again the Democrats obstruct and use the courts to interfere with the ability of the America first agenda to be carried out. They continue to expose themselves as the enemy of this nation.
