BORDER PATROL OFFICIAL – US LAWS MAKE REAL BORDER ENFORCEMENT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE

The CBP official says the border is indefensible under current laws, a reality created by the Obama regime that is key to the destruction by balkanization and implosion of the US…

border laws illegals immigration

Customs and Border Protection Deputy Commissioner Ronald Vitello tells responds to a question of what would happen if the open borders lobby got their way and federal border enforcement disappeared, imperfect as it is.

Vitello says, “The border’s a dangerous place. People are coming up from all over the world through Mexico and other places and you would have a much different situation in these big border cities if the border patrol wasn’t there, if the state and local law enforcement wasn’t there protecting people.”   [[WATCH VIDEO BELOW]]

Carlson questions how much help the United States is really getting from Mexico in patrolling and controlling the border, given the debate that has amped up in recent days. He notes that rant from the Mexican Senate in which they called for an end to their participation in border security, asking what would happen if that enforcement was withdrawn.

Vitello replies, “We have a strong relationship with operators and individuals, both at the political, strategic and tactical level with Mexico. It’s essential for us to share with them specific information. It’s essential for them to tell us what’s going on, what they’re seeing. They do provide services for us on their southern border. And that’s important, it’s been important over these last several years.”

Vitello notes that border apprehensions from March of this year versus March of 2017 were up 200%. He says “loopholes in current law and policies that exist now in the United States are actually encouraging people to come as families or unaccompanied minors to the border.”

He notes there’s an economic magnet, “But because of these policies and the way the law is constructed, lots of people are coming as part of a family or as a minor and they’re being released into the United States. That encourages more people to take that dangerous journey.”

Vitello says, “That’s why we’re trying to do everything we can to put our plans in place, that’s why this new capacity coming our way is – we’re looking forward to that.  Carlson asks what happens when someone from Honduras, for example, arrives at the Tijuana border crossing.

The response highlights how idiotic and destructive the Obama policies that remain in place are to our national security. Vitello explains that “When they present themselves to an immigration officer, either at the port or between the port and where the Border Patrol works, they’re taken into custody. They’re afforded their rights under the administrative process to have a removal hearing, to have an administrative judge decide whether they can stay in the United States or not.”

He points out, “But because they’re from a non-contiguous country, Honduras is quite a ways away, while they are set up for that hearing, often times they will claim asylum, fear to return back to Honduras. And so they’re released under that condition, that they’ll come later to a deportation hearing. And the show rates for those hearings is very, very low.”

He adds, “And so you have this cycle that’s in the law, these loopholes, people are exploiting that, smugglers are exploiting that, criminal cartels are taking advantage of that and using it to raise funds on that journey.”

There’s no disputing that Jihadi Jeh Johnson and Hussein Obama seriously compromised and corrupted the system in order to leave a failed and easily exploited mess for future Democrats to capitalize on and to thwart the efforts of future Republicans, such as President Trump, to act in the interest of the American people.

4 Comments on BORDER PATROL OFFICIAL – US LAWS MAKE REAL BORDER ENFORCEMENT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE

  1. I’m not capable of understanding what we can’t do something to stop them. I would not detain them for questioning, I would simply not allow them to step onto US soil. Would they still be able to claim asylum?

The President has full authority to declare a security issue and stop them. It has been shown that terrorist are a;so slipping in. This is an invasion and the military can be used, if there is a will.

Regardless of whether it is expedient, he could even issue an EO to stop all incursions until concrete action is taken.

I also don’t understand why doesn’t go on the offensive, not just tweets, and attack the politicians until they pass a law. He would have the majority of citizens supporting him. Even to saying he will not endorse anyone who does not support new laws.

We have had lots of talking but the will and desire for meaningful action is sorely lacking.

    • And if they have to be held for hearings, erect tents for them to sleep in and a tent for holding on-border hearings, either deport them afterwards or give them a court date, hold all of them until you get a busload, and then send em back to where they came from to wait out their hearing date. They don’t give a crap about being citizens, they just want to be able to stay here. Take that away and they’ll stop coming. Being in the shadows is as good to them as being citizens.

  2. Trump just needs by and EO to undo what the MUSLIM FRAUD did with the same way.

    • It seems like a no-brainer, James, they’re saying it’s the law but I don’t remember Congress passing any laws, I just remember an avalanche of policy changes.
