The border war is once again being lost due to a lack of will on the part of the US govt to win. One particular action on the part of President Trump opened the flood gates, his
Once President Trump signaled that he was supportive of the idea of DACA illegal aliens getting citizenship or a legal means of remaining in the country without being deported the message was received loud and clear by foreigners considering violating our borders – come on in, you’ll get to stay.
The “Trump effect” had resulted in record low border crossings for a few months, but, without the necessary backup of an increased number of agents we were promised or the wall to make entry much more difficult, those days are now just a memory. And to make matters worse, catch and release and the Obama tickets to the American shadows have returned as well. Taxpayer dollars are once again paying to transport the illegals to their favorite hideout sanctuary city, and a no-show for a future court date.
After the number of invaders bottomed out in April, there has been a definite upward trend to where we are now at levels equal to those under Obama. And the response is the same as it was under the pretend ‘president,’ let em in, ship em around the country and maybe nobody will notice.
An unnamed Border Patrol agent told WND, “We’re getting those family units again. They’re getting bus rides just like before at taxpayer expense to their destination of choice.” Most of the invading families and unaccompanied child illegals are coming from Guatemala, and other parts of Central America, just as they did under Hussein Obama.
However, there are concerning numbers of Asians, primarily from India and Pakistan in those populations as well. Both Pakistan and portions of India are hotbeds of terrorism. The agent interviewed by WND said that he had attended a meeting in which a CBP supervisor warned them to be on the lookout for more Asians, of the Muslim terrorist variety. He said 50 Pakistanis and approximately 300 Indians were caught attempting to cross our border during the month of November, usually in small groups of five or less.
Just how did they manage to get into Mexico and place themselves into a position where they could attempt the entry? Were the notoriously corrupt Mexican officials and cartel members, sometimes indistinguishable from one another, being paid to make it happen?
The border agent said, “The Pakistanis really shocked me. I knew they were getting Indians, but when he said 50 Pakistanis were picked up last month I was really shocked.” The agent works out of the El Centro sector. He added, “I think a lot of them from Pakistan and India are flying right into Mexico City and Mexico just kind of looks the other way, maybe even helps point them in the direction of the fastest route to the U.S. border. They don’t want them in Mexico.”
The agent offered his opinion as to why there is a shift away from Texas entry, particularly for Brazilians, towards California. He said, “Word is getting out that these checkpoints are understaffed and that California is a sanctuary state.”
He told WND, “Interstate 8 has become almost like a free-for-all because the checkpoint is not being manned on a consistent basis.” The union complains that rather than having agents engaged in enforcement they have been assigned to other duties. He said, “Our management [Obama holdovers] needs to pull their heads out of the sand and put these people back out in the field. It’s ridiculous.”
“The draw of amnesty and the fact that there’s been a draw-down of agents in the field,” said the agent, “is why we’re starting to get overrun again.” He said that the rural S-2 route, inside the El Centro sector, had been manned during the early months of the Trump administration but now it’s “back to sporadic coverage at best,” the way it was under Obama.
He notes the same situation exists on Interstate 8, which is also staffed only intermittently. The smugglers send a scout ahead who radios back and all clear when it’s safe to bring through loads of illegals or drugs.
William Gheen, founder and president of Americans for Legal Immigration, or ALIPAC said there is a ripple effect from the sanctuary state declaration in California and even more so from the DACA weakness expressed by President Trump.
He said, “Every time Congress or the White House begins to talk about amnesty, the border crossings increase. That’s what we see happening now. Our border patrol agents are woefully understaffed, and we don’t have a wall, so the border is still wide open to them, and the politicians are talking about amnesty again in Washington so everyone hears that and they say ‘oh boy, we need to get there now.’”
He added, “This is the Trump-McConnell-Ryan amnesty plan,” Gheen said. “It’s having a devastating effect on our border, just as this type of talk did under the Obama administration.”
