Booker To Smear Sessions As Racist But Partnered To Honor Civil Rights Marchers

It’s a trick question, “How low will the Democrats go,” that cannot be answered. The question how low have they gone in the past can serve as a starting point, but they can always outdo themselves. When it comes to showboating and serving as the vehicle of party politics in exchange for future political rewards, Corey Booker is peerless. He was even touted as a potential vice president under Hillary Clinton. That’s proof enough he’ll do anything to get ahead.

That includes breaking with Senate protocol and testifying against a fellow Senator in his confirmation hearings. Booker is opposing Senator Jeff Sessions for Attorney General in what will be a largely symbolic and self-sacrificing public betrayal. He’s going to tell America that Senator Sessions is a racist, smear his name with nothing to support it, in the frothing rush to stop Donald Trump and his cabinet picks.

Less than a year ago, in February of 2016, Booker had a decidedly different view of the Senator from Alabama. He had teamed up with Senator Sessions to award the Congressional Gold Medal to black Americans as the “foot soldiers” who marched in 1965 in pursuit of civil rights, from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, Senator Sessions’ home state.

At the time of the awards presentation, Booker referenced his partner in the effort, Senator Sessions, saying he felt, “blessed and honored to have partnered with Senator Sessions in being the Senate sponsors of this important award.”

Now, eleven months later, Senator Sessions is somehow not the man he used to be. Booker told NBC, “We’ve seen Jeff Sessions — that’s Senator Jeff Sessions — consistently voting against or speaking out against key ideals of the Voting Rights Act, taking measures to try to block criminal justice reform.  He has a posture and a positioning that I think represent a real danger to our country.”

Not supporting the creating of privilege for one group of Americans over another based upon race or the negating of security measures that restrict our electoral process to one citizen one vote is not a danger to our country. They are efforts to protect it and our Constitution.

Booker isn’t being honest. One thing changed over the last year. Senator Sessions came out in support of the President-elect and was instrumental in his victory. That’s what makes him dangerous and that’s why he’s being targeted by this lying Democrat and the others. It will be interesting to hear how his lies are crafted but of no consequence. Sessions is going to be confirmed. Booker is flushing political capital down the drain obviously and transparently willing to smear his colleague with unsubstantiated attacks of racism in order to gain favor. He’s presenting himself to the world and America as the lowlife trash we already knew him to be.

Just sit down, Booker, shut your mouth and stay out of the way. The obstructionist days are over, it’s time to repair the damage of the last eight years and Sessions is one of those leading the way.

  1. Karen: A leopard cannot change its spots. These POS were always what we are seeing now.

  2. I find is almost impossible to believe how wretched some of these people are showing themselves to be. They have no shame or sense of honor or decency. I am including the freaks that want to hang a picture in the Halls of Congress that depicts police as pigs.

Is Corey Booker another Fatherless Half-breed African? I didn’t say anything about race, just half-bred African!

  5. Booker envisions this as his entry to the stage in preparation for 2020. There are many reasons why this could violently backfire on him. Stay tuned.
