Steve Bannon and Reince Priebus joined Matt Schlapp on stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) for a lively exchange on Thursday afternoon. After a little ice-breaking small talk, Schlapp got things started by asking, “What’s the biggest misconception about what’s going on in the Donald Trump White House.” Priebus replied about himself and Bannon, “Well, in regard to us two, I think the biggest misconception is everything that you’re reading. We share an office suite together. We’re basically together from 6:30 in the morning until about 11:00 at night. It’s actually something that you all have helped build, which is, when you bring together, and what this election showed, and what President Trump showed.
Priebus deviates for a moment, saying, “And let’s not kid ourselves, I mean I can talk about data and ground game and Steve can talk about big ideas, but the truth of the matter is, Donald Trump, President Trump brought together the Party and the conservative movement. And I’ve got to tell you, if the Party and the conservative movement are together, similar to Steve and I, it can’t be stopped. And President Trump was the one guy, he was the one person, and I can say it after overseeing sixteen people killing each other. It was Donald Trump that was able to bring this Party and this movement together.
Bannon points out how the opposition party is always wrong, remembering on the first day that he and Kellyanne Conway started they “reached out to Reince, Sean Spicer, Katie, it’s the same team that, you know, every day was grinding away on the campaign,” crediting Trump with making it work.
Bannon points out that their campaign had no money and their opponents were wallowing in two billion dollars, calling Trump the greatest large venue speaker since William Jennings Bryan. He attributes the victory to “those rallies and those speeches,” saying, “All he’s doing right now is he’s laid out an agenda with those speeches and promises he made, and our job every day is just to execute on that, is to simply get a path to how those get executed.”
They elaborate on other aspects of the administration as well, particularly in regards to the opposition party, the propagandist mainstream media. Trump understands the enemy, he knows the nature of the globalists as does Bannon. The fight will continue every day. As Bannon said, the globalists aren’t going to give us our country back without a fight.
Thank you for reading and sharing my work – Facebook is trying to starve us out of existence, having cut literally 98% of our traffic over the last year. Your shares are crucial for our survival, and we thank you. We’ve also created a presence on Gab.ai and MeWe.com, although their reach is presently much smaller, the continued abuse by Facebook of conservative voices leaves us no option. We’re remaining on Facebook for the time being, as we make the transition. Please take a look when you have a chance or if we “suddenly disappear” from Facebook as has happened to many other truth-tellers. They’ll either starve us out or take us down, one way or another, sooner or later.
