Dem Sen Warner is leading the witch hunt against Trump in the Senate but refuses to talk about the Democrat Party corruption Donna Brazile has made an election issue in Virginia…
The Democrat Senator from Virginia, Mark Warner, who has effectively seized control of the Senate Intelligence Committee from the weak or complicit Republican, Richard Burr of North Carolina and turned it into a partisan witch hunt, isn’t nearly so willing to discuss potentially damaging politics when they are actually real and involve his own party.
They’re clearly concerned that the truth about them has again leaked out at a very inopportune time, on the eve of an important election. In an appearance on Sunday on the Face the Nation program, Warner is asked, “Former DNC Chairman Donna Brazile has dropped a bomb this week, saying that basically the Democrat National Committee was rigged for Hillary Clinton in her favor. Do you believe that’s true?”
With a stupid, goofy grin covering his face that seems to indicate that he’s being less than honest, Warner says he’s seen some of the press reports, and then refuses to answer the question. It’s an obvious dodge that would signify at least his recognition of the appearance of more Democrat corruption, if not the actual existence of it.
He then recited his prepared diversion, saying, “What I’m a lot more focused on, we’ve got a really critical election coming up in two days in Virginia, where we elect a governor” and goes into the typical partisan spiel, saying the most important thing is for people to get out and vote and support the crooked Democrat candidate.
Host John Dickerson responds, “But the problem is Democrats don’t want to get out and vote if they think that their party is corrupt, which is the charge that Brazile is making. So if you don’t address the corrupt part how do you get people to go vote for a Democrat candidate?”
Once again he chooses not to speak to the corruption allegations directly, hiding in the limited safety of vague generalities. Warner says, “Well, I can tell you there’s a heck of a lot of enthusiasm. I don’t believe the Democrat Party is corrupt. I believe the Democrat Party is best when it’s forward leaning. I think we’ve got that kind of candidate running in Virginia right now.”
He then describes his campaign travel plans, never having done anything more than express his false beliefs that the Democrats aren’t corrupt. That’s all he can do, as all indications from evidence, from Brazile and anywhere else one might care to look, proves they are, as the idiom goes, “as crooked as a Virginia fence.”
