Donald Trump rallies Americans as the segment opens, pledging that “together we will defeat the rigged system,” as he points to the media at his event and says, “There is nothing more corrupt than those people.”
Sean Hannity points to both a report by the Media Research Center that found 91% of the stories run about Donald Trump since this summer’s convention were negative as well as reminding the audience of a dinner party at John Podesta’s house. That little affair was revealed by WikiLeaks and was open only to 25 of the most corrupt members of the media, representing every outlet except Fox. At that time Roger Ailes was still keeping them from drifting too much to the left.
Judge Jeanine Pirro calls it an “octopus of connections” between the establishment types of various stripes, “and it’s all related to power and money. People who are honest are left out, the American public is being left out, everybody who is an ordinary American is not a part of this game.” Noting the web of government and elite corruption, Judge Jeanine says she’s never thought this before and that she is “so disappointed.” Hannity tells her she’s so naive, that he’s been saying this for a long time.
Monica Crowley compares the current despicable leadership to her former boss, Richard Nixon who did nothing compared to what goes on in DC these days, with every day bringing a new instance of what is “pretty much an impeachable offense,” to which there is no response. She adds, “Every day of the four years that Mrs. Clinton was Secretary of State she was leveraging her public office to enrich herself, empower herself and her family’s foundation.
Crowley says that Donald Trump is right to point it out but that he should be making an even bigger point, “that in this country we take certain foundations of our system for granted. Under Obama and Clinton those foundations don’t exist anymore. And by that I mean an independent, impartial and fair Department of Justice, FBI and a fair and objective press that’s only interested in the truth. Without those cornerstones, without an impartial entity to enforce the law evenly…we have nothing in this country.”
Hannity, Judge Jeanine and Tucker Carlson all agree, “it’s gone.” What bothers Carlson more than anything else is that the media has morphed into the Praetorian guard of power and that is a very serious thing. They believe that the out of character rant of Michael Moore in which he supports the idea that the American people are going to give a big middle finger to the establishment on Election Day is right on.
