Sheriff David Clarke has endured the anti-police, anti-law years of the outlaw Obama regime and now anxiously awaits the start of the rebuilding of our nation, seriously eroded and rotted from within by the Democrats and globalists.
An integral part of that rebuilding is the nomination and confirmation of Senator Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General of the United States. Sheriff Clarke says his nomination “will set a different tone. We’ll have a United States Department of Justice that won’t view the American police officer as an adversary but they’ll look at the American police officer as an ally in the pursuit of justice and the criminal element.”
He continues, “And I think that narrative will go a long way to reducing, nothing will totally eliminate that in this dangerous job, but reducing these senseless, unlawful attacks against the American police officer.
Stuart Varney asks Sheriff Clarke for his take on the claims by the left that thirty years ago Senator Sessions made some racially insensitive remarks. He replies, “Well, first of all, you won’t find a more fair, more qualified, a more dedicated to the rule of law and the United States Constitution and justice for all person than Senator Jeff Sessions.”
Clarke adds, “Look, I’m tired of the stuff, this race card thing, this racist term is bandied about so much that it really doesn’t have any effect anymore. When the left is out of legitimate excuses for wanting some sort of dialogue about somebody they just call them a racist. They do it as if it’s some sort of sport.”
“I expect Senator Jeff Sessions to be,” Clarke says, “he’s one of the most honored persons among his colleagues in the US Senate as well. So this is nothing new. It’s an automatic default from the left, just call somebody a racist. I know Jeff Sessions, Senator Sessions, I’ve met him, I’ve worked with him on Capitol Hill. He doesn’t have a racist bone in his body.”
