Sheriff Babeu – Border Invasion Up 50% – Secure The Border, Terror Threat Is Real
More illegals have been caught crossing into the US on our southern border in the first eight months of the fiscal year than in the entirety of last year. Charles Payne asked Pinal County, AZ Sheriff Paul Babeu why he’s not surprised by those numbers.
Babeu notes that the illegals “are getting telegraphed this message by ‘president’ Obama and the administration, ‘make it to the border, you’re home free. And they’re very concerned, very fearful that this is all going to change with a new administration, and pray God it does because we’ve seen in eight months, this is 45,000.”
Babeu continues, “This is just families that are coming across. It doesn‘t include all the illegals that come one, by themselves, or a group of ten or twenty or forty. And so this is troubling because just in these eight months we’ve seen more than all of last year.”
Payne notes a new twist on the anchor baby scheme of using children to facilitate law breaking, with children supposedly traveling alone from Central America to the border where they can just get a child across the border and join up with them afterwards.
Sheriff Babeu points to the obnoxious comments of Joe Biden, in which he said, “These aren’t somebody else’s kids, these are our children.” Babeu asks, “How in the world did we get to this place in our country that all of a sudden these kids from Central America are now our children? How about putting our families, our children, who are US citizens first?”
He points out, ”We’re treating these refugees and asylum seekers better than we treat our own senior citizens, better than we treat our own military veterans, who are committing suicide; 22 a day. Why aren’t they making Americans their top priority instead of shouting us down and saying that we’re un-American for not wanting to allow them in? And we allow more legal immigrants than any other nation in the world, one million legal immigrants every year.”
Asked about how his department is dealing with the overwhelming influx, Babeu responds, “I can’t screw up as a sheriff, yet we have accepted the leaders in Washington and ‘president’ Obama to screw up every day, every turn. My budget has been cut eight percent, millions of dollars, and I have to do more with less resources.”
I just want Barack Obama to do his job,” says the Sheriff, “to secure the border, to protect America, because it’s no longer about these children, it’s no longer about the cartels that my deputies and local border patrol are fighting, this is about terrorism.”
He warns, “This unsecured border is the likely avenue of approach for a terrorist to sneak into America and it’s got to be secured.”
