As President Trump continues to battle Democrats, the deep state, media and the GOP establishment, the role RINO Senator John McCain has played in pushing the anti-Trump narrative and agenda has been significant.
With the current media frenzy over the supposed Russia connection, Donald Trump Jr. and a likely staged setup meeting, it’s important to remember that McCain was himself the delivery boy for another attack on President Trump, the disgusting and discredited Moscow bedroom dossier.
On January 10th, prior to President Trump being sworn in, CNN reported some telling skullduggery on the part of RINO neocon John McCain. It was conducted, not in his capacity as a sitting US Senator, but as a tool of the anti-Trump establishment. CNN reported on the discovery of what would later be identified as the Steele or Moscow dossier and its component memos, the Fusion GPS sponsored Russia bedroom fiction that was being used to smear president Trump.
They stated they had “learned that on December 9, Senator John McCain gave a full copy of the memos — dated from June through December, 2016 — to FBI Director James Comey. McCain became aware of the memos from a former British diplomat who had been posted in Moscow.”
The implication was that McCain was simply doing his duty as a responsible American, not sure how to proceed with explosive material that had been “dumped into his lap” and feeling a patriotic obligation to turn it over to the FBI. The true reality is nothing like that.
Carl Bernstein reported at the time for CNN, “A former British ambassador to Russia independently was made aware of these findings and he took the information to John McCain – Senator John McCain of Arizona – in the period just after the election, and showed it to him.”
‘McCain was sufficiently disturbed by what he read to take it to FBI director James Comey himself personally, they had a five minute meeting the two men, very little was said, McCain turned it over to him and is now awaiting what the FBI’s response is to that information.”
Bernstein also wrote, ” It came from a former British MI6 agent [Steele] who was hired from a political opposition research firm [Fusion GPS] in Washington who was doing work about Donald Trump for both republican [aligned with McCain] and democratic candidates opposed to Trump.” This information wasn’t dumped on him unsuspectingly, he sent a personal envoy to Europe to retrieve it.
After McCain was told by Andrew Wood, British ambassador to Moscow from 1995 to 2000 and a contact of Christopher Steele that the dossier Steele created existed, he took matters into his own hands. The DailyMail reports that information obtained from The Guardian shows McCain next “dispatched a ‘trusted emissary’ who flew across the Atlantic to meet the source of the documents at an airport.”
They state, “The aide was instructed to look for a man with a copy of the Financial Times and that’s how the individuals met, with the source taking McCain’s emissary back to his house and giving the American a copy of the documents. Within 24 hours, the dossier was in Washington, though the contents of the file couldn’t be verified without an investigation.”
The Guardian said that McCain was concerned that his actions might be interpreted as revenge for some of the controversial comments Trump made about him. Really John? Why would anyone get that idea?
