Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, Dianne Feinstein, Bill Bratton, Jihadi Jeh Johnson and others have been repeating the same, identical mantra for the last couple of weeks, that those who are on a no-fly list need to be on a no-Second Amendment list as well. Obama has even taken time out from his busy climate-mongering to make the same pitch from Paris.
Now, happening mysteriously as if on cue, the shooting in San Bernardino has provided more “urgency” to the Democrat demands for more restrictive gun control. They’re doing the best they can and could have made their case much more effectively if they were only able to vilify white, conservative America. The fact that the perpetrators were members of one of the left’s most favored groups, Islamic terrorists, is a bit problematic, but they’ll just obfuscate and rely upon their media puppets to tell the story the “right way.”
The disarmament Democrats will still do their best to capitalize on the horror, and they’ll still blame the Second Amendment and law-abiding Americans. Perfectly good crises, as we all know by now, aren’t allowed to go to waste, particularly when the Democrats have gone to such tedious, repeated efforts to establish the foundation narrative. It’s a setup which will not be squandered simply because the villain happens to be one of the regime’ own darlings.
Obama offered some revelations in his comments, including statements that:
At this stage, we do not yet know why this terrible event occurred. We do know that the two individuals who were killed were equipped with weapons and appeared to have access to additional weaponry at their homes. But we don’t know why they did it. We don’t know at this point the extent of their plans; we do not know their motivations.” Those are all statements to diminish the impact of the religious affiliation of the murderers.
After noting that it is now an FBI investigation, Obama says, “It is possible that this is terrorist related, but we don’t know, it’s also possible that this was workplace related. And until the FBI has been able to conduct a large number of interviews, until we understand the nature of the workplace relationship between the individual and his superiors, because he worked with the organization where this terrible shooting took place, until all the social media and electronic media has been exploited, we’re just not going to be able to answer those questions.”
Of course what occurred was undeniably terrorism, the location or relationship between the perpetrators does not negate that reality in any way; the evidence clearly points to Islamic terror. Obama doesn’t want to have the investigation head towards those conclusions because he’s the chief architect of the North American caliphate and it’s his job to portray Islam in a most favorable, non-violent and peaceful light, separated from terrorism.
He adds, “But what I can assure the American people is we’re going to get to the bottom of this and that we are going to be vigilant as we always are in getting the facts before we issue any decisive judgments in terms of how this occurred.”
Obama is stalling for and creating time. He’s establishing the mechanism through which to delay as needed the results of the investigation and establish the premise by which the distortion and manipulation of the determination into a more Islamic-friendly format can be accomplished. He was also successful in removing the case to a federal FBI investigation, which makes the outcome and determinations much easier to control than if it were in the hands of local law enforcement.
That same caution as to not being too hasty isn’t being exercised when it comes to Obama seizing on the opportunity to vilify guns and to capitalize on the event to press his American disarmament agenda. Obama argues that we can’t solely rely upon our law enforcement professionals “To deal with the problems of these kinds of horrible killings, we all have a part to play. And I do think that as the investigation moves forward, it’s going to be important for all of us, including our legislatures, to see what we can do to make sure that when individuals decide that they want to do somebody harm, we’re making it a little harder for them to do it, because right now it’s just too easy. And we’re going to have to, I think, search ourselves as a society to make sure that we can take the basic steps that would make it harder, not impossible but harder for individuals to get access to weapons.”
He’s going to move on gun control, it was already being announced. The form it takes will likely be, at a minimum, that now much bantered-about no-fly list. It’s an extremely dangerous, subjective removal of one’s rights based solely upon an arbitrary classification being imposed by a bureaucratic determination. There is no conviction or crime involved, just an accusation or an “opinion” is enough. There is also no limit to the extent that the system can be abused, the number of people who find themselves blacklisted or the criteria evolving to include everyone not of the political elite’s favored class.
Hedging his bets a little on the side of protecting the Islamists from responsibility, Obama also stated that there might be mixed motives, thereby introducing a bailout of combined workplace location and Islamic terrorism to shield the Islamic connection in much the same way that Fort Hood was mislabeled.
The fact that an act of terrorism is carried out at the workplace of the victims should play no role in determining the nature of the act or in shielding the religion of the perpetrator from being identified as a contributing factor. It should also not be used to shield the agenda of the pretend-“president” from scrutiny or the imposition of his Islamification upon the American people.
Obama’s agenda is in damage control mode, while simultaneously being in attack mode. He’s coming after us and this method of an arbitrary list is particularly dangerous.
