Mark Levin has some valid, basic arguments and information for the debate on whether or not the Syrian refugees, with the associated jihadists should be allowed to enter the United States.

He says of those opposed to the invasion, “All they and others are proposing is to prevent these foreigners from these parts of the world, where ISIS has already told us that they’re going to secret terrorists among their ranks, and ISIS has already done it in the attack on Paris, is that we say “No, you can’t come into the United States.”

Levin points out, “We’re not talking about rounding up people; we’re not talking about anything of the sort. Now ladies and gentlemen, our immigration laws, our refugee laws, they are written by Congress. They’re statutory; that’s where the authority exists. Read Article l, the president has no independent power when it comes to this, despite what the dingbat Anthony Kennedy wrote, despite what FDR did, despite all of this.”

“The fact of the matter is Congress controls,” he notes, “It says nothing, nothing under Article ll about the president’s powers with respect to immigration. They’re specifically vested with the will of the people through the representatives of the people.”

He declares, “There is nothing un-American, there is nothing that violates American values, there is nothing of that kind when we say as a people that there’s certain parts of the world that are so dangerous, where wars are ongoing, where people have said that they’re going to secrete the enemy within the populations that come into this country.”

“It is national suicide and insanity as I’ve been saying, to allow such a thing,” says Levin. “There’s nothing compassionate about it, there’s nothing American about it, there’s nothing rational about it.”
