Neil Cavuto references a sixty-eight page report which was just issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety which states that not only are illegal aliens with terrorist ties currently crossing into the United States unchecked, they have been doing so for quite a long time.
Lt Col Tony Shaffer agrees with the report and notes that this is information known to the federal government as well. He also notes that al-Shabaab, the terrorist organization that has threatened the Mall of America has conducted a similar operation in Kenya, adding credibility to their threats.
Shaffer points out that FBI director James Comey has already stated that we are tracking about 200 suspected terrorists, with suspects in every state of the Union. He asks, “What about the 1,000 to 2,000 we’re not tracking who have come through the border?” He reiterates his point, “We know they’re coming through. We know we’re not detecting them.”
Shaffer believes “This is where we have to be a lot more focused on Mexico; do three things. First, turn people away. You don’t have to accept them in, turn them back and send them back into Mexico. Secondly, we have to go after the mafia. There’s a lot of human traffickers who are out there who make this possible. All this human trafficking paves the way for terrorists to kind of swing right in there.”
Cavuto injects his concern with Obama directing those charged with protecting our borders to look the other way as bad guys sneak in.
Shaffer concurs, saying, “The incentive, Neil, is to look the other way. That’s the policy. This is where these individuals, God bless these Border Patrol Agents have to make a choice. Do you follow the Constitution and your oath or do you accept a policy which essentially, in military terms is an illegal order? You are not protecting your charge, the American public.”
He makes his third point, a watered-down version of a position I have long held and voiced, that the American people who are suffering under the abuse of our enemy to the south need to recognize Mexico for the aggressive anti-American, invasive enemy that it is.
Shaffer says, “We have to treat Mexico like a foreign country that has adversaries in it, they do. We have to do intelligence operations to figure out where the terrorists are staging, where they’re coming, how they’re doing things, essentially treat them like we would have treated East Germany during the cold war.”
Shaffer doesn’t recommend that we take out those operations, but that is what should be done. Information is great; acting upon that information is much more productive. An airstrike or two into a cartel staging area or operation would go a long way towards eliminating the threat. As for Mexican retaliation, let it come. To pretend they are not an enemy is deceive ourselves into allowing the invasion and destruction of our homeland to continue. The sooner our resolve is made clear to our enemy to the south, the sooner we get on the path back to sovereignty.
They also talk about the regime’s reluctance to deport as part of their policy, and how that includes the terrorists among us. Shaffer says he’s been talking to members of Congress to attempt to legislate in order to circumvent the open season that Obama and Johnson have declared upon America, welcoming terrorists and invaders of every stripe into our nation with open arms and an open wallet.
The Marxists who have captured the White House are recruiting a terrorist army for attacks against the United States. Congress needs to act and the American people need to be armed for their own defense. We cannot expect a federal government who has determined that their own citizens are the enemy to act in our defense or on our behalf.
What we can expect is more of the same infiltration and more terrorism upon our shores, courtesy of Johnson and Obama.
