In what is clearly yet another in the long series of delay and stall tactics being used by the IRS to prevent the American people from finding out what they’ve been up to, the Lois Emails are once again being withheld from public release.
6,400 hundred of Lerner’s emails which were discovered by an Inspector General after the agency had claim they were irretrievably lost by a convenient server crash, are now being held up as the agency “checks for duplicates.” There is no indication that they have any reason to suspect that duplicates are included or just how that would be a problem worthy of the delay, but that’s the IRS story and once again, they are sticking to it.
We can expect the stacks or certain “random” emails to come up missing during the search for duplicates as more honest mistakes continue to plague the hapless, well-intentioned folks at the IRS.
