Senator Jeff Sessions is doing his best to wake up the sleeping American public to the treason of Harry Reid and the Democrats, to their acting in the interest of their political party to the detriment of their country.
He references the executive amnesty threat/promise of Hussein Obama and the associated worker permits, photo ID’s, Social Security numbers as well as even more guest workers through an expanded visa program in spite of high unemployment and falling wages.
He draws attention to Harry Reid’s public message to Obama to “go real big” on amnesty, “to bypass Congress and do the biggest amnesty you can do.” He says the legislation that would stop Obama from targeting the American people is sitting in Harry Reid’s desk.
Senator Sessions says, “It would use legitimate Congressional power to deny funding to execute any such bogus unlawful amnesty plan.” He adds, “Really, the Constitution, the American people’s interests are at stake here.”
Sessions points out that if Harry Reid has the votes to defeat the House bill, why doesn’t he just bring it up and allow the members of the Senate to vote it down? Sessions says, “Well, the reason is he wants to protect his members.” Adding “He’s afraid that if he brings it up for a vote, his members might find out that the people back home are not happy. About three-fourths of the American people plus believe that the ‘president’ is exceeding his authority if he goes forward with this executive amnesty.”
Senator Sessions asks, “So why can’t we have a vote on it? Because of politics; protect our members, they don’t need to take tough votes. Let’s get out of Washington and go home and campaign and play politics in our home states.”
He points out that nobody in the ranks of Senate Democrats have stood up to support the House bill. He says “Some pretend that, ‘well, I hope the president won’t do that,’” to which Senator Sessions asks, “What does that mean? Nothing – Let’s vote, you’re either for it or not.”
Senator Sessions closes saying, “So, every member that supports Senator Reid, and we’ll have another vote on this, on this is as much a supporter of ‘president’ Obama’s unlawful amnesty if they were sitting in a room helping him sign the order.”
The Senator says, “This is the time, it’s either stop now or it may never be stopped. And we need to vote on it. And people need to be held accountable, and every American needs to know where their Senator stands on the ‘president’s’ unlawful assumption of power to violate plain law of the United States to carry out a political agenda that he has that the American people reject.”
He adds, “It’s just that simple.”
