Earnest – Obama Regime “Scandal Free,” A High Standard Set For Others

It must be tough to be a reporter in the tank for the regime trying to ask questions that are at once critical of the incoming Trump administration yet not too obviously a bar that the Obama regime failed to clear. In this instance, the hapless boob failed miserably.

In attempting to take a shot at David Petraeus without inviting criticism of Hillary Clinton, a reporter asked  Josh Earnest, “Just as a guiding principle, does the ‘president’ or does the administration believe that somebody that’s had severe classification issues for which they’ve been convicted should hold senior positions in the United States government?

Ignoring the irony that he’s being asked about guiding principles in a totally unprincipled, lawless rogue administration. Earnest exaggerates his circular hand motions, saying, “Every president is going to have to decide for themselves what kind of person can best serve them and the country in senior roles in the administration.”

Earnest goes completely off the rails saying, “And ‘president’ Obama obviously took that responsibility very seriously and assembled a team that he’s quite proud of to serve him and the country. And the ‘president’ has spoken at some length about how proud he is that there hasn’t been a major personal scandal in his administration. The kind of people that he has chosen to serve in high profile, influential positions in his administration have done so with a focus on the country’s best interest.”

Obviously Earnest has been told this is the tactic that they’re using to pretend what has happened over the last eight years was just a very bad dream, but we’re awake. We recognize the smell of barn droppings.

While he might be grasping at straws to try to create the right lie, or narrative that can be crafted into a sham legacy; it’s pure fiction. Most unbelievably of all, Earnest says that future presidents will be measured against that high standard of the Obama regime in that regard. Amazingly, no laughter was heard from the assembled order takers impersonating journalists. Maybe they were stunned or they’ve been desensitized by similar outrageous claims made by Obama in Peru a few days earlier.

The list of scandals and failures is a long one, but Earnest did qualify them with the words “major” and “personal.” Still it’s tough to imagine one that a scandal could be more major than denying the Democrat candidate the presidency and ending her political career or more personal than a personal email server and her personal involvement in espionage.

Earnest needs a little help remembering. Some of these are failures, some are clearly scandals and most have elements of both. Maybe Earnest forgot about the IRS’ targeting of conservative groups, the VA scandal, the ransom payment to Iran, the “non-treaty” Iran deal, the climate hoax, the UN agenda 2030 agreement, the exchanging of 5 terrorists for Army deserter Bergdahl, Solyndra and other green energy scams, the bailouts, the emptying of Gitmo so terrorists can return to the fight, the GSA’s Las Vegas opulence, binge spending and waste, the access to secrets by Huma Abedin and other caliphate-pushing operatives within the regime feeding information to the Muslim Brotherhood, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere, the Fast and Furious gun running scandal, the destruction of Libya, the rise of ISIS, the murder of Gaddafi, the failure to secure the victories in Iraq, Syria, and Libya, the Russian reset.

There’s the DOJ’s seizure of AP phone records and both phone and email records from James Rosen of Fox News, mass NSA warrantless surveillance of American citizens, the Clinton Foundation, the EPA environmental disasters, the cutting off of water to California farmers to benefit a bait fish, multiple Secret Service scandals, the murder of innocent Americans by illegal aliens that Obama and Jeh Johnson placed in this country and refused to deport, open borders, rampant cartel drug smuggling, DHS criminal refusal to enforce immigration law, the nullification of federal immigration law by memorandum, Eric Holder being held in Contempt of Congress.

We can’t forget Loretta Lynch refusing to charge Hillary Clinton for political reasons, James Comey doing whatever he was doing to keep Clinton out of trouble, Obama self-ratifying a bogus climate treaty in violation of the Constitution, his usurping the law and Congress by dictate in crafting an immigration law that he likes, the regime’s relocating masses of illegal aliens inside the US under a bastardized definition of the word “refugee,” the facilitation of voter fraud by illegals and multiple voters, and last but not least, the fact that he’s never provided proof of citizenship, who he really is and an explanation for why he’s hiding all of his records.

That may seem like a high bar to Josh Earnest, but it’s buried in the swamp by all other standards.
