Donald Trump offers an insight into his thought processes surrounding his position that foreign Muslims should be prohibited from entering the United States while our government takes a pause to actually do their job, what they should have already been doing for the last seven years or more.

Under the failed and complicit mismanagement of Jeh Johnson at Homeland Security, John Kerry at the State Department and every other agency that is practicing historic levels of malfeasance under Hussein Obama, our security has been allowed to deteriorate precipitously.

Trump is advocating an evaluation of our processes and the correcting of the gaping security holes in our immigration and visa systems. It’s a review which involves the suspension of activities while the analysis is underway. It’s a logical way of addressing the serious shortcomings and one that should have the support of all corners rather than the criticism of many. The attacks only serve to demonstrate the low priority those engaging in them place on our security and safety.

Donald Trump acknowledges that there are those who line up in agreement with him and those who do not. The ones he says that do, are the ones that matter, the American people. The politicians, the Republican establishment and Democrats, as well as the media and pundits are the ones who are attacking him most viciously and to him, they don’t really matter so much.

We hear the false proclamations from Hussein Obama, a contrived and insincere admonishment that we need to do whatever detrimental thing he’s trying to force us into at the time, based upon his claim that it is “the right thing to do.”

Donald Trump is exhibiting a different character and focus from the pretend “president” Obama. He’s actually taking tremendous heat and holding his position under fire precisely because he recognizes the genuine peril we are in. He’s willing to do the right thing in spite of the crushing barrage of criticism.

Trump says he doesn’t believe that the politicians will catch on to what is obvious to the American people. The people recognize the threat even though their failed leaders refuse to do so.

Trump puts it into the most clear, basic form, saying, “We can’t allow radical killers into this country. We can’t do it, we have enough problems.” He ticks off some of the many problems facing America and says, “We cannot continue to allow this to happen to our country, we’re not going to have a country left.”

He says, “What I’m doing now is far more important, and I’m talking about for the Muslims, I’m doing good for the Muslims, what I’m doing now is far more important than any particular business I have in the Middle East.”

He says, “I was just called by one of the most important people of the Middle East and just said to me, ‘Donald you have done a tremendous service to the Muslims,’ because we’re making, nobody wants to talk about. Everybody wants to be so politically correct, ‘Oh let everybody come in.’”

Trump adds, “We have a problem and the problem has to be solved. And when that problem is solved, it’s going to be a much happier world.”

The majority of the American people who support a review don’t do so for the benefit of the Muslims; they do so for the benefit of themselves, their families and their country. They also don’t do so out of any particular bad intent or prejudice.

If Muslims benefit as well, that’s just that much better. What is critical is that our nation and our citizens be secured and the threats mitigated as much as reasonably possible.

Under this regime, every day since January of 2009 has been followed by another which was less secure. Obama, Johnson, Clinton and Kerry have done a lot of damage over the past seven years. Donald Trump is one of the few willing to stand and take action, particularly action that is difficult and controversial.
