Divide and conquer is the Obama means of attacking his enemy, the United States of America. In pursuit of his goal of replacing the current American population with one that is more willing to be obedient servants of the state, the Obama regime has responded to the injunction halting his illegal amnesty dictate.
The tack chosen by the communist in power to thwart the efforts to block his treason against the American people is to temporarily remove the state of Texas from his federal dictates, while still forcing his totalitarian loafer to the throats of the rest of America.
On Monday, the “anything but” Justice Department asked Federal Judge Andrew Hanen to stay his own injunction in its entirety. They also offered an odd alternative, asking that the judge issue a partial stay, which would allow the regime to force their dictates upon the rest of the nation while somehow magically exempting Texas from the negative impact.
A regime that exists by virtue of lies and parsing words is well suited to finding grounds for an appeal. While it is ridiculous to believe the Eric Holder “anything but” Justice Department believes that illegal aliens would obey an imaginary “Keep Out of Texas” sign having already violated our national borders, they believe they’ve found a technicality that can be exploited.
Since there are no restrictions upon interstate travel and if there were illegals would simply ignore that law as well, legalizing them in one state will invariably lead to their presence in all states. The request also ignores the fact that twenty five other states, composing a majority of the United States of America, joined with Texas in seeking relief from the Obama criminality.
The DOJ gave Judge Hanen until Wednesday to make a decision, after that, they will head to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals where they will continue their pursuit of a stay.
In a regime known for its absurd claims, the “Justice Department” argued that DHS would “sustain irreparable harm” by not allowing the criminal amnesty to proceed. Somehow they make the argument that unless the injunction is reversed, they will not be able to effectively protect national security, public safety and the integrity of the border.
So the official line is that unless they are allowed to reward those who violated the integrity of our border they won’t be able to maintain the integrity of our border. And unless they are able to provide free access to our citizens and workplaces to individuals of unknown true identities and backgrounds, who have already broken our laws, they won’t be able to provide for public safety.
As for national security, they simply state that without amnesty they can’t secure our nation because those who are here illegally will remain in the shadows. They maintain that criminals or evil doers of any description are less dangerous because they are out of the shadows and able to freely mix with their victims. They are arguments completely devoid of logic.
The absurdity makes one question whether the regime’s comrades in the Mexican drug cartels are supplying them with free samples. How else could they make such unbelievably ignorant claims? But the idiocy doesn’t stop there.
Without amnesty law enforcement will also cease. The DOJ stated, “Allowing the preliminary injunction to remain in place pending appeal would also harm the interests of the public and of third parties, who will be deprived of the significant law enforcement and humanitarian benefits of prompt implementation of the Guidance.”
That guidance is a misguided classification of illegals who have not been convicted of “significant” other crimes as being acceptable for residency to the Department of Homeland Security. In essence it is a de facto invalidation of the immigration laws passed by Congress. They base an argument on the impact it will have of negating their ability to violate the law?
They somehow claim that without amnesty, DHS would be forced to discontinue their selective enforcement practices, which is once again nonsensical blather. This regime is not going to enforce immigration law unless mandated specifically by Congress through ironclad legislation to do so. A lack of amnesty just means that they can’t endow their invading army with “legal” status. It in no way forces the criminals inside the regime to change their ways or to discover the Constitution.
They technicality they seek to exploit by segregating Texas is based upon an assertion that the ruling by Judge Hanen was based solely upon the burden placed upon that state as to the financial cost of issuing driver’s licenses. The other twenty-five states, according to the Justice Department, and the rest of the citizens of America, are screwed.
The DOJ also chose to ignore the reams of violations of law and impropriety which were cited by Judge Hanen in the implementation of the criminal dictatorial amnesty, but that is to be expected. They aren’t arguing that what they did was legal. They are simply arguing that the injunction was insufficient to stop their criminality.
