Pat Buchanan contrasts the outcome of the recent APEC Summit in China in terms of which nation benefited. He says that from an American, Obama accomplished little or nothing. From the Chinese viewpoint, it was quite the opposite.
Buchanan says, “This was a huge triumph for the Chinese, John. You’ve got $85 billion dollars in American exports to China. They run a $300 billion dollar surplus at our expense every year. They’ve got $4 trillion in foreign currency reserves. They’re building a “Greater Asia” co-prosperity sphere like Napoleon tried to do in Europe. They’re trying to bring all of those countries under their control. They use their investment and aid to get tangible and hard gains for them.”
He notes, “The Chinese are really doing to the United States in this century and at the end of the last century what the United States did to Great Britain at the end of the nineteenth century. Basically eclipsing them and moving them out as the first military and economic power on Earth.
He doesn’t mention the new ten year tourist visa that Chinese citizens can get, basically providing them with residency in their debtor colony, the United States. Bankers do like to visit their money from time to time.
And Obama did it all with a smile on his face. It’s amazing how generous he becomes when he shares a similar ideology. Of course, it has to be other people’s rights and property he’s giving away, nothing personal.
